03.20.13 – SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS

Driving while it’s wet outside can be tricky as roads tend to be slippery. Here are a few tips for you to keep in mind.
Make sure you maintain traction by starting and stopping gradually and driving at steady speeds. If your vehicle begins to skid, remove your foot from the accelerator or brake and steer in the direction of skid. Be gentle with your brake pressure and avoid braking on curves by driving though them at a safe, steady speed.
If you drive a manual try gearing down for both uphill and downhill.
