He did not tell me why he failed me. He gave me no scoresheet or details to work on. We did not even complete the entire test.

From the start it was an excellent experience. Got an appointment months sooner than pendott offered, within a week of calling now have my driver’s license. Mitch was great, very professional, had great communication and was very helpful.

I’m so happy that my daughter, Kim, suggested I use John’s Driving School after I had a minor accident. She thought I needed a professional driving teacher before I got back to driving for my safety and those around me on the road. She was absolutely right.

Rich gave me the confidence that I could resume driving again, since I hadn’t driven since June 5th because of a minor accident I had. He took me to the areas I frequent the most and now I am confident that I can drive again.

I sent my son to John’s for young Driver training, and driver testing preparation. He had 3, 2 hour training sessions, with three different instructors, Mr Rhodunda, Mr Carroll, and Mr Milorey. All 3 gentlemen were very professional and communicated with me before and after each lesson with expectations before and strengths and weaknesses after. They communicated that he picked it up rather quickly and by the final instruction he was proficient in most areas of instruction and commendable in a few others. I am very thankful to John’s driving school for the training, cause I just didn’t have the patience for it!!! Lol. I would highly recommend Johns for any young adult just getting their permits to attend the training school.

I had 4 lessons with Joe and it was amazing! I’ve never drive a car in my life before and now I even go in to 95 without any problem. He gave me tips and techniques to know how to turn and park, he went over every detail on my driving and helped me to easy on the brake and gas, how to turn the steering wheel, change lanes, etc.. his patience is of a saint, and in every lesson I got 2 whole hours of actual driving (he would give me the tips as I’m driving or just stop for less than a minute to explain what was next). He would talk to you if it makes you more comfortable or put music if it helps you relax; his professionalism is outstanding! Every cent paid was absolutely worth it. After every lesson I’ll have a summary of skills, how I’m doing them, and recommendations, which were absolutely crucial for me to practice during the week. I’m really grateful, thank you Joe! I took my son to get his test here. They were courteous, prompt (1:15 appt. no extra waiting time), detailed in what they want you to do, very personable and professional. Took only a few minutes and we were done. There was no pressure and no hurry to complete the test. You go at your own pace and the gentleman was very thoughtful and patient. He knows people are nervous and scared a bit and he was really helpful to ease the anxiety for my son. He needs a raise! Highly recommended.

Let me start out by saying I’m 43 and because my license was expired for a year I had to start from scratch to get my license reinstated. I called John’s and I was able to take the on the weekend. The examiner was very nice and even made some jokes given I’m slightly older than the normal test-takers. They are very professional, efficient and definitely watch as you parallel park and go through the course. The price was very affordable, $99.00 if you have your own car. I highly recommend Johns if you want to take your driver’s test quickly and so more want to wait for availability at PennDOT.

I had enrolled my son in the driving school after having been teaching him how to drive for several months. I can say that he had some proficiency, however, he was reluctant to listen to much of what I was telling him. His instructor arrived on the first day a few minutes early and introduced himself. He was clean, courteous, and exceedingly professional. He told me what he would be working on with my son that day, and then after the lesson he called me and gave me details about how he did, then a little later I received an email detailing how proficient he was at each of the tasks, as well as what it is that he needed a little more practice on before the next lesson. This continued throughout each of the lessons. I have nothing but high praise for John’s Driving School, and will be calling them when my other son is in need of driving lessons. When going to John’s Driving School I didn’t know what to expect. Someone had told me that on his first lesson he got taken out on the road but luckily I had 30 hours of driving at that point so that wasn’t a worry . On my first lesson I met a guy named J.T. He is a very great instructor he made me feel like I was in the car driving with a family member. One thing that I knew I would fear at first is backing out of parking spots considering I had some trouble with it in the past but with the help of J.T. I got over that fear no problem and it even helped me with parallel parking far as backing in to the parking spot. The 3 lessons he took me through really improved my driving skills. The lessons prepared me so much that 2 weeks later I took my test and passed it with ease. Without John’s driving school and J.T. I don’t think I would have gotten parallel parking and backing out of parking spots as fast as I did. Thank You!

Unfortunately, the lessons needed to be canceled because of the quarantine, but the communication from the office was great, and we were able to reschedule when they opened back up for lessons. You are also a third party driving test center. Yes, it costs extra, but getting an appointment was easy, and there was no wait!

The instructor was very encouraging with my teenage driver. The 6 hours behind the wheel with a different voice from mine but harping on the same concepts of safety, awareness, and attentiveness were key to giving her confidence and a solid foundation to be a safe and non-distracted driver. The office staff was great in setting up the appointments and the scheduling the exam while the examiner, Jen, was also very encouraging to my teen driver before she took her exam. My two youngest took John’s as part of their drivers education and I appreciate what they learned and the preparation it gave them to enter the roadways in the safest way possible.

The parallel parking requirement my daughter was able to complete on her first back up and first pull forward. I had two different instructors spread out by months and each were extremely nice. My last instructor was able to teach me how to parallel park with three simple steps and I was able to catch on in about 15 or 20 minutes. Which is what seems to be the main focus of the test right now due to COVID. Either way I was definitely made to feel comfortable and gained the confidence I needed by their encouragement.

Due to the Covid19, my son’s driving test was cancelled. I figured once the DMV would finally open, it would be extremely busy with everyone trying to get their drivers license. I scheduled my road test with PennDOT in January for May 15, PennDOT cancelled it despite the county it was scheduled in being in the yellow a week and a half prior to test time, the test, and refused to answer any questions as to when road testing would resume.

Instead of waiting on them to sort everything out, I turned here, I called about road tests on Tuesday, set up a test for Saturday (today), and I now have my license after a wonderful experience in Lehighton. So, so glad to’ve found this alternative.

I’ve held strong anxiety about driving for over 20 years. I’ve gotten away with not driving by living in cities …until I had a child and decided I wanted to move out to the country! Bill Watkins was FANTASTIC to work with over the course of my many lessons. My driving fear morphed into driving love in only a few weeks. I had never expected such a turnaround. And I give much credit to his particular approach with me — a respectful, friendly, peer-to-peer approach that I think was very appropriate, and very helpful, for someone who’s not a teenager but nearly 40. He in effect brought the anxiety down so I could focus naturally on learning and safety. I highly recommend Bill. [ADDITIONAL SUBMISSION] Now winding down my lessons, today I had my final session with JT Milorey, whom I highly recommend, too. JT’s approach with me combined wonderful warmth and encouragement with absolute vigilance to safety and road rules. This ensured that I learned a ton about the mistakes I’m prone to and the errors I might unknowingly be making while also staying calm and knowing he’s totally rooting for me. I paid a total of $315 for a 2 hr lesson and the drivers test. My instructor, J.T. was amazing at what he does. He made sure I perfected and understood the parallel parking technique. We also drove the test route to familiarize myself before the actual testing. J.T. reassured me the entire time. I took my test an hour after my lesson with Mitch. He made sure I was not nervous or jittery the entire time of the test by having a wonderful attitude. The ladies at the front desk and office were very pleasant also. Although, a little pricey but 100% worth it. They make sure you pass with flying colors. Great experience all around. I will recommend this school to everyone.

I was hesitant to sign my son up. I did some research and the cost of the school (30 hour online course, 3 – 2 hour driving lessons & driving exam) seemed expensive compared to the savings you get from the insurance company. I think it was more than 2 years before I would get the money back so we decided not to do it. It came time for his test and I was just not comfortable with him driving yet so I bit the bullet and signed him up. Let’s just say it was the best money I ever spent and I regret not signing him up earlier. He is now a confident driver and I am confident with him out on the roads. To anyone deciding if this worth it or not, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Great service, great instructors and overall a very pleasant experience.

Mitch was my examiner at the Doylestown location. Very nice and professional. Unfortunately I failed at the very end but plan to retest in a few days. Highly recommend you use this service if you are as anxious as I am to finally get licensed. Just know that pass or fail you pay the fee. And if you retest you have to pay again. Praying I do well the next go round. Ok.. for the 2nd test I had Jay at Fairless Hills. Again, very nice and professional. I failed yet again due to a rolling stop. Tips for the experienced drivers, Take it back to the basics!!! I learned how to drive 16yrs ago and I’m use to driving like your average driver. Remember to make full stops, watch your speed, and take it easy. It’s not a race. The examiners can totally tell a new driver from an experienced driver. Try not to talk as much so you can focus on the task at hand. PASSING. Please pray that I pass on my 3rd time as I am 9 months pregnant officially and a anxious hot mess. This is a personal goal of mine and I know I got this. Just need to take it easy and focus. Will update in a few days 🙂 Update: I passed. Impeccable service and staff. Please know that the team at Johns are there to support you. They’re very fair and honestly want you to do well. Ignore the negative comments and give Johns a try. You will not be disappointed.

One of the best things that I could’ve done for my son was to get him the lessons. He was able to learn do much more than I could’ve taught him. Being a single mom I needed the extra help and he was able to learn from different individuals. By having the instructors come to the house to get him for the lessons I was able to have some more free time available to me. Through the 30 hour theory course my son was able to understand some of the laws and the functions of the car better. The driving test was more relaxing to my son since he didn’t have the horrible anticipation of having to wait in any lines. Scheduling everything with the front office was a breeze too. When I was reading reviews I noticed that many people think that this company is “gold digging” and fail you just to get more money out of you, but I’ve noticed that this is just false. Took my drivers test here. Failed the first time but the examiner gave me some really great tips and told me what to work on. Just took the test again today and passed. I didn’t take lessons through them but I can tell they are very helpful and informative, I definitely recommend

Getting my license at 25 for some reason seemed impossible until I took lessons at Johns. My instructor Chet was really awesome and made me feel super comfortable behind the wheel. I took my drivers test there today, less than a week after my third lesson and passed. The driving examiner was really nice as well. My whole experience was really wonderful and I’d recommend Johns to anyone, at any age.

My experience with John’s Driving School was by far the most influential part of my learning experience. They worked with me to build my confidence in my driving and were very cooperative in working around my schedule to find times to fit lessons in for me. Going into my first lesson I was very nervous, however by the end of the final lesson I came out a very confident and safe driver- I then used all the skills they showed me to pass my lisence test with them (which was scheduled not even a week later, no waiting for months to get fit in!). From start to finish this place impressed me. The girl at the desk was very friendly. I liked that they had flower pens. Then Mitch walks up introduces himself shakes my sons hand. I was telling my son to breathe because he seemed nervous. Mitch said don’t worry will breathe. My son had some apprehension due to a prior experience at the DMV. I taught my daughter the basics and she was pretty comfortable but then she asked if she could further her preparation with John’s. I am really really glad that we did. I have been driving for years (well, actually decades) and there are things that I just do from habit, maybe not following the rules 100% , for instance, where exactly to stop at a stop sign… ?? things like that. They gave her all of the correct information and believe me, now she knows. (And tells every time I do something incorrectly!) They also had good tricks and tips for parking, little things to make it easier to remember. She had 3 different instructors, but I think you can take all your lessons with same person, if your prefer. They were all good but Anthony was AWESOME! He boosted her confidence and she was actually a better driver after her lesson with him. It is worth the money, especially if you want to let someone else suffer through merging onto a highway for the first time with a teenager!

I took the Test Prep & Test today with StreetSafe. Took my Road Test at John’s Driving School. Passed on the first try. I had Coach Joynes who is a retired State Trooper. He is very knowledgeable and crammed a lot o knowledge into me in 2 hours. He was prompt and on time and didn’t play any games. I would definitely recommend StreetSafe. I am 1 week away from my birthday so this is a great gift to myself. I am grateful for Coach Joynes for making me a safer driver.
